RC Academy

OVERVIEW

About RC Academy

RC Car Academy is a new venture, born from the love and passion for both the sport and people! It is built on the knowledge and skills of two RC fanatics, Jannie Labuschagne and Abri Kohn, with the dream to make the sport accessible to everyone – from ages 6 to 80. Our aim is to do this in an affordable and fun way.

RCA will supply RC Cars for training sessions thus reducing the cost and making the sport accessible and affordable to almost anyone.

RCA is focussing on 1/10th scale, electric powered, off-road cars as its training medium. In this RC discipline there are various clubs in Gauteng with our local club being Ultra Raceway in Toutrek park, Gezina.

When joining RCA, the racers will have the opportunity to join Ultra Raceway club for a reduced fee and partcipate in club and social racing events.

WHAT WE DO

Our process

RC Car Academy offers people of ages 6 years and above the opportunity to experience the wonderful world of RC Racing while benefitting from all the personal learning and development aspects of the sport. The video below is a summary of what we are all about.

1

Assess skill

First step in the process is to determine the skill level of the participant – beginner, intermediate, advanced or professional.
2

Develop programme

From knowing the skill level of our racer, we can determine which classes he or she needs to attend where the specific training curriculum will be addressing their specific development area
3

Progress feedback

After each training session, our dedicated trainers will write a short feedback report which. This will be emailed to the registered account email address and  used to track the progress of the racer.
4

Photos and videos

Photos and videos of the racers can be taken (with proper consent) and sent to the racers (or their parents) to give everyone an experience of the activities and fun.
