At Ultra raceway we strive to maintain the highest level of racing and ensure that our racers are ready to compete on a national level. We therefore follow the SARDA rules strictly.

CLUB RULES AND INDEMNITY

Ultra Raceway, hereinafter referred to as “The Club,” exists to bring people together through the shared enjoyment of radio-controlled cars and racing in a safe and controlled environment. We strive to create a friendly, relaxed and inclusive atmosphere where members can have fun, build community and enjoy the hobby, while always maintaining the highest regard for safety.

VISITING DRIVERS / NON-MEMBERS

Visiting drivers from other clubs, as well as non-members, are warmly welcome to use the premises. All visitors are expected to comply with the Club’s rules and to pay any applicable fee approved by the committee at its AGM. As a courtesy, visitors are encouraged to introduce themselves to the Club members and committee on arrival.

AFFILIATION

The Club is affiliated with the South African Radio-Controlled Drivers Association (SARDA), the governing body for the sport and operates in accordance with its rules and regulations.

RULES OF THE CLUB

1. No person may use the track unless they have signed and accepted the indemnity form.
2. Firearms are strictly prohibited on the property.
3. Alcohol may only be consumed on the property in a responsible manner.
4. The following behaviour by drivers is prohibited:
   1. Shouting at or swearing at marshals
   1. Throwing tantrums, cars, or any other objects in the pit area
   1. Talking loudly, shouting, or swearing on the drivers’ stand during racing
5. Any member whose conduct in the opinion of the committee is inimical to the interest of the club, shall be liable to suspension or disciplinary action by the committee as set out in the constitution of the club.

INDEMNITY

Indemnity and Assumption of Risk

Any person entering upon and/or making use of these premises, facilities, track or any part thereof, does so entirely at his or her own risk.

Subject to applicable law and to the fullest extent permitted by law, neither the Club, the landowner, nor any of their committee members, members, officials, employees, agents, representatives, marshals or drivers shall be liable for any loss, damage,

injury, death, or destruction of property of whatsoever nature and howsoever arising, whether direct or indirect, sustained by any person while on the premises or arising out of or in connection with the use of the premises or participation in any activities conducted thereon.

By signing this indemnity, I acknowledge that I have read and understood the contents hereof and that I voluntarily accept and assume all risks associated with entering the premises and participating in any activities thereon, for myself and for any minor child under my care, custody or supervision.

I hereby indemnify, hold harmless and absolve the Club, the landowner and their committee members, members, officials, employees, agents, representatives, marshals and drivers from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, proceedings, liabilities, damages, costs and expenses of whatsoever nature and howsoever arising, whether in law or otherwise, arising from or connected with my presence on the premises and/or participation in any activity thereon or that of any minor child under my care, custody, or supervision, save to the extent that such claim arises from gross negligence or any liability which may not lawfully be excluded in terms of South African law.
